Films have been audio described for decades now, but rarely do we get a film ABOUT Audio Description, or in this case, about an audio describer. ‘Radiance’, the new offering from Japanese film-maker Naomi Kawase, is just that, and what’s more it concerns itself with a relationship that forms when an audio describer meets the creator of the visual content for which she writes the descriptions. A very tantalising prospect for those of us in the access industry, and I’m guessing it must have been a treat to describe! You can check out more about the film on its official page here.
